Your responsibilities
Providing subject matter expertise to the ORR Head of Change Oversight and their teams on assurance practices, and support the development and embedding of practices across the team.
Provide prioritization, co-ordination, reporting, and escalation of work performed by Risk and Compliance Assurance and support development of test scripts where required. Provide ongoing direction, challenge of review terms of reference and reports and, provide quality assurance to ORR LT member of the controls assurance work delivered.
Develop and manage stakeholder relationships with ORR and Business stakeholders and their related Business Transformation teams.
Identify thematic reviews based on internal and external observations, trends emerging, or stakeholder requests and support leading and delivery of Thematic Assurance as required.
Support embedding of assurance practices service catalogue, and supporting tools across GB/GF/Region Change Oversight teams.
Support consistent and insightful reporting and escalation of issues identified through ORR Second Line of Defense opinion papers.
Direct the development of ongoing training and induction programs to ensure that the teams are appropriately skilled and technical knowledge of appropriate regulation, responsibilities, and testing tools and techniques is up to date.
Our requirements
Deep understanding of Risk Management Framework and Non-Financial Risks, including experience of delivering or oversighting Change initiatives.
Demonstrable experience of assurance / audit activities and techniques, or 2LOD stewardship for one or more of the ORR risk types.
Relevant external financial services qualification (e.g. CIA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CISA).
Experience in developing and deploying automated testing and data analytics techniques.
Experience of process mapping and delivering professional reports and presentations gained within a financial services organization or audit/consulting practice.
Experience utilizing assurance automation and analytics tools preferred.
Fluent in both oral and written English.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.

About the role
Global Operational and Resilience Risk (ORR) is a sub function of Group Risk. Its purpose is to make sure HSBC understands, and is in control of its non-financial risk position. In addition, the function provides resilience risk stewardship to global businesses, functions and entities we operate in. ORR provides oversight of change initiatives being undertaken by the Global Businesses and Functions to ensure that the NFR and Conduct impacts of change are identified and managed to support the safe and sustainable delivery of change across HSBC.
Assurance supports Risk Stewards to form an independent opinion on the Risk and Control environment that they oversee. The role will be responsible for the provisioning of subject matter expertise in relation to the delivery of assurance activities and embedding of assurance practices for Change Oversight within ORR globally.
