Your responsibilities
- Activity involved in the analysis, design and build of processes from a technical perspective
- Performs development activity in accordance with methodologies and standards as set by the COE
- Work in a dedicated Business service Pod working within project planning constraints, communicating or escalating any identified project risks and issues to the Senior Configurators
- Seeks guidance from the Solution Architects and escalates complex solutions and designs where necessary
- Ensures COE methodologies are consistently applied, in line with global standards
- Works closely with Configurators / mentors to complete to-be process design (solution design documents)
- Supports the Configurators to carry out change impact assessment for both process change and system driven change, and carries out associated change control practices
- The individual will need to be able to multi-task and set their own priorities
- They must be aware of deadlines and ensure timely delivery at all times
- Ability to drive change in HSBC
- Maintain an understanding of business processes

- The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structure referred to as the ‘Three Lines of Defence’. The jobholder should ensure they understand their position within the Three Lines of Defence, and act accordingly in line with operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure of actions required
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Adheres to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators
- Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy
- Reports directly to the Solution Architect (POD Lead)
- The Senior Configurator role does not functionally manage a team of professionals
Our requirements
- In-depth understanding of RPA technologies, the operational processes and when RPA should be used
- Knowledge of the enterprise’s business operations
- Proven experience within RPA (Blue Prism)
- Proven track record in a similar role
- The role requires an articulate individual; comfortable dealing with management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills required
- Must be well organised and able to multi-task effectively and efficiently
- Experience in negotiation and conflict management
- Ability to problem solve, clearly articulate requirements, and implement and drive change
- Energy, enthusiasm, and drive
- Blue Prism Developer/Mentor accreditation (desirable)
