The RTR Control Analyst will perform within the Aptiv values and culture: with a one team approach and a passion for results you will develop your team to think and act like owners of our Aptiv business. Your role:

Responsible for controlling small and medium sized businesses
-
Responsible for reviewing the trial balances and month end results within the segments;
-
Coordinates monthly closings activities within GBS, adhering to the strict closing schedule and coordination of the MEC process;
-
Process more complex transactions and reconciliations
-
Verifies various financial transactions such as journal entries, payments, charges, invoices as well as BS account reconciliation
-
Responsible for auditing, identifying and correcting discrepancies and variances in various accounting reports;
-
Review intercompany mismatches and support the intercompany team in resolving those;
-
Compiles data for the preparation of balance sheet profit and loss statements and consolidated financial statements;

Works together with BPO to address queries to segment, POC for business to address any segment queries/requirements to GBS

Support for GBS in accounting aspects/problematic items

Performs ad hoc simple analyses to support business partners on special projects as assigned;

Assists with training fellow team members;

Develop, maintain and approve department accounting procedures and manuals (SOPs);

Participate/lead in special projects and activities defined by business and implemented by GBS, as assigned;

Recognize improvement areas within the own process and across other countries/towers, propose better solutions and implement them, support or lead implementation projects and activities including Continuous Improvement approach;
Your background:

Experience in accounting 4+ years
-
University degree/advanced course in finance
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent oral and written skills
-
English / other languages
-
SAP knowledge
-
Strong Microsoft Office skills
