Your responsibilities

  • Cooperating with R2R Senior Manager to develop the Target Operating Model and Roadmap to its achievement

  • Supporting transitioning the service over time to the Target Operating Model

  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and change management to enable change

  • Supporting transformation/transition through Health Checks, Process Definition Assessments, partner with RtR Senior manager to co-create the most efficient and optimal organization and ensure quality transfer of activities from the segment to MGSF, as well new approach for PEC In co-operation with Controllership

  • Managing the period and year-end close processes ensuring all deadlines are met and that the accounts reflect the appropriate position for Country/Segment

  • Ensuring timely delivery of global deadlines, completion of all periodic, quarterly and annual corporate submissions

  • Organizing Periodical closing (Monthly, quarterly, Year End) timetable and manage Infosys team to deliver accurately and on time

  • Preparing periodical results and discuss with unit/segment/cluster Controller and CFO to highlight risks and opportunities and report deviations vs targets. Prepares on regular basis Balance Sheet Review

  • Challenging existing processes and systems on effectiveness and efficiency, recommending and implementing improvements, actively cooperate with GPO organization

  • Ensuring an adequate internal control environment as well as make recommendations regarding improvements of Internal Controls

  • Performing complex ad hoc financial analysis, as required.

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within R2R, aiming to deliver efficiencies in operations

Our requirements

  • Proven business experience with deep understanding of our finance processes and systems

  • In-depth knowledge of General Accounting best practices, processes, and internal controls, including solid understanding of financial systems and their impact on accounting and controls

  • Solid understanding of SAP, GAAP and auditing procedures

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting

  • CPA/MBA will be an asset

  • English language skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Change management skills

  • Experience with structuring and managing projects

  • Proactivity and strong analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good organizational and time management skills and comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Job Purpose

The primary goal of creation Mars Global Services Finance is to enable operational effectiveness through partnering with stakeholders and deliver strategic processes that enable consistent, efficient and standard service delivery in alignment with Mars Five Principles.

Internal Mars shared service center covering finance processes for Mars Europe business units was established in Poland in 2014.

Over last few years it has been developing constantly, starting from supporting Polish segments to extending its coverage to 28 countries (50 business units) in 2020 in area of accounts receivable, record to report, accounts payable and payroll for Europe and Russia.

Lately Mars Global Services Finance started an exciting journey to transform way we manage our financial operations processes to run more efficiently and effectively, while building an even stronger, more agile business for the future.

Part of that journey was concentrated on creation new operating model that is providing leadership of business partnering, governance and control, vendor management and continuous improvement activities and cooperation with business partners, leveraging its technology and systems to support our focus on re-engineering and automation to drive added value for the business.

Given the importance and influence of the shift we are making, we are also evolving MGS Finance organization structure to best support our strategic direction. This shift is generating development opportunities for candidates, as some of the career possibilities appears in Warsaw, giving chance to be part of fantastic journey, having influence on the creation best-in-class finance organization.
