Your responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This role is an integral part of the GPO team which is responsible for defining and owning the end to end processes for Record to Report (RTR) across functional, geographical and business units, ensuring standardization, delivering cost efficiency through the implementation of new technology and tools and implementing effective controls and KPIs. A large part of the role involves participation and drive in Coty global transformation projects.

Global Process design:

• Design and implement an optimized operating model

• Define and maintain global policies

• Ensure SSC and LCO are respecting the global processes and polices

• Proactively eliminate gaps from standard

• Constantly seek areas of best practice (both internally and externally) and make recommendations to improve global processes and policies

• Ensure strong internal controls framework in place and appropriate segregation of duties

• Maintain global process maps and policies and ensure SOPs reflect the approved design

Efficiency:

• Support Coty’s transformation to best in class industry practices, defining projects that enable future simplification, standardisation, automation to deliver ongoing efficiency

• Actively promote ideas which will gain efficiencies, identifying opportunities for system enhancement (including VBA / RPA), preparing business cases and partnering with IT and SSC to implement

• Ensure performance metrics are implemented and tracked, utilizing results to identify areas for improvement

• Search for cost effective ways to improve service provided by the SSC without compromising on quality

• Drive the design, implementation and roll out of new and enhanced tools globally

Transition:

• Work as part of a project team to transition activities to shared service centre in line with global operating model and transition methodology

• Responsible for gap identification and remediation, FTE sizing, transition support and training for Coty teams.

Projects:

• Participate in projects as representative for RTR and owner of the global design as appropriate

• Work cross functionally with other disciplines to understand the impact on RTR

• Examples range from corporate divestitures to SAP implementations, adoption of a new distributor to changes in tax practices.

Working relationships:

• Act as a partner to outsourced Shared Service Centre, local accounting teams, corporate finance and the wider finance and business community

• Navigate across a global finance organization influencing key stakeholders

• Work collaboratively with the other RTR SMEs

• Work cross functionally with other towers

Our requirements

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance required

  • Minimum 5-year experience in finance and accounting

  • Experience of working in / with a shared services environment

  • In depth knowledge of end to end RTR processes, best practices and improvement enablers

  • Exposure to multiple tools and methodologies and familiar with financial and ERP systems, ideally SAP R3, HFM, SAP BI

  • Detailed knowledge of SAP R3 New General Ledger would be beneficial

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

  • Challenges the status quo, identifies new opportunities and delivers innovative solutions

  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and build strong business relationships through strong communication, networking and negotiation skills across all levels of the organisation globally

  • Self-starter able to work independently and able to prioritise tasks & workload with excellent attention to detail, results orientated

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, able to deal with ambiguity, understand the linkages and drive solutions, demonstrating creative thinking and good business judgement

  • Experience of working on projects, either full-time or as part of another role

  • Experience of developing and delivering training, both in-person and remotely

  • Ability to work in an international business context, advanced English (both verbal and written) is essential

  • Willing to travel as required
