    What is the project about

    You’ll be working with us for one of the newest and best mobile phone networks in the UK, Smarty.

    As a Developer here you’ll be responsible for the continuous improvement of the solution by helping our client small team in London diagnose and fix issues in their platform, and work with their partners (who are integrate with to deliver large chunks of functionality), to get to the root of the issues.

    You’ll be an integral part of providing a great experience to our client customers, by working through issues they’ve encountered and implementing fixes in our ruby codebase.

    You’ll work within a multi-skilled technology team consisting of Frontend Developers, Backend Developers and QA’s. However, we build teams around projects and each project team is multi-disciplinary and made up of Product Strategists, Service Designers, Product Designers and Developers

    Our client will provide you with learning ground - the opportunity to experience a variety of work and the coaching of their senior team. You’ll also work closely with our client broader team of Strategists, Designers, Senior Developers and QA’s to get to a fantastic result.


    • Deep Ruby on Rails experience and be able to write production ready, performant, secure code
    • A strong view on testing and how to move quickly in a fast-paced iterative environment
    • A passion for DevOps and experience deploying to popular cloud environments – DevOps experience is not necessary
    • Passion and curiosity for the web and technology. We want to push ourselves and we want to stay on the cutting edge. Infectious enthusiasm is a bonus!
    • A strong view on the correct way to do things and a wide variety of experience of best practice to draw on
    • Experience designing and implementing API’s. You’ll have to work closely with the Frontend Developers on the team to debug and deliver API’s in an iterative and agile way
    • Excellent communication skills and a want to work in a team. We’re a highly collaborative bunch and recognise that teams, not individuals, ship products. We’re all responsible for the quality of the code and the success of the project
