Sales Engineer

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Support to define the customer strategy together with the Account Manager and to prepare sales plans and budgets accordingly
  • Support Account Manager to maintain and analyze 12 months rolling revenue forecast
  • Develop B2B relations with the customers and contribute to image-building
  • Handles customer B2B regular meetings
  • Assist Account Manager to handle F2F business review meetings
  • Support the Key Account Manager to identify and to win new profitable business within the account
  • Maintain RFQ and ECO process on daily basis
  • Prepare the cost break down, P&L simulations and other commercial related documents
  • Keep records of performance indicators
  • Analyzing profitability and other commercial issues in order to implement appropriate sales actions
  • Support Account Manager with accounts receivables process maintenance
  • Organizes, manages and controls the Cost Reduction (CR) process and activities in the assigned account
  • Maintain price lists with customers (Cu base updates, LTA implementation)
  • Handles customer complains together with respective Key Account Manager
  • Track New Product Implementation checklist and coordinate related action plan with the

In order to succeed in this role, you have:

  • University degree in technical education and business or equivalent
  • Engineer academic title
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in the wiring systems business is a strong advantage
  • Ability to recognize future trends
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills
  • General business understanding
  • Understanding of sales procedures and invoicing in general
  • Ability to approach problems and solve them in an analytical matter
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Excellent co-operation and negotiation skills
  • Product and process knowledge (both at PKC and at customer)
  • Excellent analytical skills and MS Excel knowledge
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • German knowledge is a strong advantage
