Your responsibilities
Work as part of a global team responsible for ensuring optimal availability and integrity of the SAP system landscapes at ZF.
Development and support of new and existing automation scenarios for SAP hosting e.g. SAP System Provisioning, SAP System Refresh, OS/DB/SAP Kernel patching etc.
Responsible for administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of assigned systems within the SAP Basis area.
Work with and coordinate the activities of third-party hosting providers where necessary.
Perform application operations tasks including but not limited to: SAP change and transport management, workload and performance analysis, performance tuning, printers/output device management, SAP system upgrades/patching, system/database refreshes, system integration, and log analysis.
Collaborate with other infrastructure and application support teams on projects and maintenance activities.
Design and develop hosting concepts to run SAP systems on a Hyper Scaler e.g. AWS, Azure.
Our requirements
Should possess good knowledge of SAP system administration best practices, SAP system architecture, and integration with other SAP and non-SAP servers.
Fundamental knowledge in scripting (Python / Perl), automation tools (Terraforms / Ansible), and web technology development is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years experience handling basis administrations/operations is required.
Experience in maintaining SAP system monitoring and troubleshooting different basis areas, ranging from transports to performance analysis, operating system administration (Linux), database administration (Oracle and/or HANA) and dump/log analysis.
Analytical and problem-solving skill.
Public Cloud skills are desired.
Ability to work with minimal supervision (remotely and on-site) and possess strong time management skills..
Good English language skills.
Experience in one of more of the following areas: ECC 6.0, S4/HANA, BW4/HANA, SAP HR, or NetWeaver.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics or similar
