    Scientist - Gum & Candy
    Miejsce pracy: Bielany Wrocławskie (pow. wrocławski)
    This role sits within the Regional Gum and Candy Category Margin Improvement Team where we are focused on a very diverse and challenging portfolio including pellet, slab and filled chewing gums, chewy candy, jellies, hard boiled candies, licorice, caramels and pressed mints. In this role, you will focus on development work for product and process optimization against cost and quality targets across the entire European Gum and Candy product portfolio and Supply Chain footprint. 
    Main responsibilities:
    • Scoping of new project ideas by benchmarking, analysis, conducting recipe calculations, including close co-operation with regulatory
    • Ability to operate category specific equipment in lab and pilot plant environment. Ability to plan and lead trials at lab, pilot plant and factory scale to produce prototypes. Writes research reports and creates/ modifies specifications, develops and implements new formulas in the plant
    • Ensures consistency, technical precision and compliance with methods of work. Recommends improvements within own project area
    • Independent interpretation of data to deliver results and draw business relevant conclusions. Writes technical reports with minimal guidance from manager. Analyses results and initiates microbiological & physical/chemical analyses and sensory evaluation
    • Effectively structures and presents feedback / status updates / proposals to stakeholders
    • Establishes project specific technical network within the category and across functions such as Global analytics, Procurement, Operations, Corporate Quality, etc.


    • University Degree in food science, chemical engineering or related scientific or engineering discipline 
    • First professional experience in food industry
    • Participate in or lead research / commercialization of a product/process (preferred)
    • Excellent organizational skills, including time management and priority setting
    • Ability to work independently and problem solve
    • Able to adapt personal style to work in international environment
    • Good presentation and influencing skills
    • Fluent in English

    This is a project role for 12 months.
