Sea Freight Procurement Assistant

Miejsce pracy: Poznań

Sea freight procurement department is responsible to negotiate and contract general rate agreements with Ziegler’s core ocean carriers and other relevant subcontractor.  

The sea freight procurement assistant is to support sea freight procurement manager to manage sea freight procurement, contract, carrier relation and other administrative work. 

Key tasks:

  • Manage the filing of sea freight contracts with the carriers (receive the rate sheets from the carriers, verify, update and upload into a system). 
  • Control the quality of rate input in our rate management system.
  • Maintain the rates on our rate management system, make necessary update.
  • Support Ziegler offices for capacity planning and rate acceptance.
  • Support Ziegler offices for customer and carrier billing.
  • Control procurement KPI

Skills & Competencies:

  • Educational background: degree in transport or equivalent experiences
  • English, good knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Professional experiences:
    Proven experiences in freight services (Sea freight will be a plus)
    Understand freight procurement process (Sea freight will be a plus)
    Ability to work in a shared service center environment 
    Ability to work with a virtual team
    Precise and analytical
  • Computer Literacy: Sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced skills in Excel-like tools
  • Mobility : Not required
  • Work schedule: 100%
