We are looking for a Security Supervisor to join our community.

Position: Security Supervisor

Department: Security

Reports to: Head of Security

Contract: Full time, fixed term; shift work

Job purpose:

The School Security Supervisor is directly involved in safeguarding and protecting ASW students, parents, staff, visiting community members, and campus property. These duties will be performed as outlined in the Security Guard Manual.

Job description:

  • Establish and maintain a high level of security for the School, community and campus;
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations by the School community;
  • Assist and support the School community in maintaining a safe educational environment;
  • Maintain physical security through monitoring access control, parking/traffic control, intrusion detection and patrolling, inventory and key control, perimeter/night security, security system design, emergency response and other related areas stated in ASW Security Plan;
  • Work a variable shift schedule, report to work on time and in the appropriate uniform.
  • Maintain clear and complete records during each shift;
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and consistently implementing/enforcing security operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance of all regulations;
  • Work together with Head of Security in coordinating, directing and supervising the school’s internal security staff and other related personnel;
  • Support Head of Security in developing and maintaining physical security measures. Implement all security operational policies and procedures as described in the Security Guard Manual in a consistent manner;
  • Work collaboratively with Head of Security in maintaining clear communication about security measures, system and policies to a diverse, multinational community of parents, students, staff and visitors diplomatically applying them to a variety of situations.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School education;
  • Security Guard License (2nd degree);
  • 2 years of experience as a security guard/supervisor or in a security environment;
  • Ability to provide effective leadership with emphasis upon the basic principles of human behavior, communication and decision-making in collaboration with the ASW Head of Security
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with a diverse population;
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English and Polish;
  • Willingness to adapt to the School environment, applying knowledge of security procedures and policies;
  • Good physical shape.
