Senior Accountant for Swiss entity (Warsaw) GL/AP/AR

For our client, an international company in the retail industry located in Warsaw, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:

Senior Accountant

Main Responsibilities

• Management of one junior accountant
• Prepare monthly closing and annual financial statement for Swiss HQ under Swiss GAAP and IFRS in collaboration with the International Finance Director based in Geneva and the Controller based in Warsaw.
• Review monthly statements for Singapore branch as prepared by local accounting team
• Responsible of GL accounting and reconciliation
• Ensure all AR/AP invoices are properly approved and processed in accordance with company's policies
• Prepare Fixed Assets entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Ensure that the payments processes are made on time accordingly to internal procedures
• Control annual and monthly VAT declaration forms in Poland and review those in Switzerland and Singapore to sure they are correct and submitted timely
• Manage the monthly Intercompany reconciliations and reporting
• Coordinate all auditor and tax accountant inquiries and requests for timely completion of financial statements and tax filings
• Ensure that all accounting processes and procedures are performed in compliance with IFRS and other regulatory bodies,
• Implement corporate accounting processes and policies

Profile :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field of study
• 5-10 years of multifaceted accounting experience ideally in a shared services center
• Solid understanding of IFRS
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics a strong plus
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English and ideally in French too
• Experience in recording of journal entries, auditing and reconciliation of accounts
• Strong organizational, time management and working under pressure skills
