Your responsibilities
Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
Comply to the group internal standards
Report to the Financial Department of the Headquarter
Scope: several entities from the group (EU, Switzerland)
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and entering transactions
Maintains and reconciles balance sheet and general ledger accounts
Reconciles sub-ledger to general ledger account balances
Prepares bank transfers
Ensures accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
Analyzes intercompany transactions and bank statements
Prepares monthly cash forecasts and explains variations
Prepares for financial audit and coordinates the audit process
Investigates and resolves audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
Prepares quarterly VAT returns for Swiss entities
Initiates and recommends improvements in accounting processes
Supervises preparation of bank reconciliation statements
Follows up on outstanding amounts
Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the authorized person
Our requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
CPA or ACCCA are preferred, not required
8-10 years of experience working as an Accountant and Senior Accountant
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
Strong aptitude for quantitative skills and numbers
Visible and recognized expertise in financial systems, including general ledger, GAAP, financial statement presentation, budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable
Fluent in English and French
Highly detail-oriented and organized
Problem solving
Ability to meet the deadlines
Motivated, positive and flexible in approach to work
Reports to Head of Accounting Group and works with Finance and Accounting department
