Your responsibilities
- Coordinating the global statutory reporting compliance for Global Clients and reviewing the activities that are performed centrally and by EY local offices
- Reviewing of Group to Local GAAP bridge and mapping of Trial balance accounts to Financial Statement
- Prepare General Ledger journal entries, including supporting calculations and analyses
- Payroll accounting: book entries and review/reconcile payroll balance sheet accounts for payroll, holiday / bonus, social security and related accruals
- Accruals/Prepayments: identify and book entries, review and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Perform various country specific entries and reconciliations such as include for example leases, rent, professional services etc
- Perform / review balance sheet reconciliations, and determine actions required to address open or aged items
- US GAAP/IFRS to local GAAP bridging and equity reconciliations
- Support the statutory audit and coordinate preparation and approval of statutory financial statements with local EY teams
- Support tax compliance processes
- Prepare and update process documentation
- Propose ideas to improve/automate processes and drive efficiencies
- Collaborate with process controllership teams (AP, AR, FA, CM, SC…) and client finance personnel to deliver a coordinated and quality service.
Our requirements
- Practical accounting experience in several of the responsibilities listed above
- Ability to own the full entity Trial Balance; quickly develop an understanding of the business and how business transactions impact the accounting books (US GAAP/IFRS and Statutory)
- Excellent user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Good knowledge of ERP system: SAP / S4Hana or Navision would be a strong asset.
- Good communication skills as this is a client facing role, both in English and Polish (Business English).
- Knowledge of other foreign languages (German, French, Spanish, Dutch etc.) would be a strong asset.
- Identify issues and proactively solve challenges
- Minimum: 4 years of working experience in accounting for similar role within area of: Record to Report, General Ledger, Statutory Reporting and/or Financial Reporting
- Microsoft Office knowledge and Excel skills
- Very good work organization, initiative and commitment

Finance Operations provides the client with immediate access to an entire finance function delivering End to End services from transaction processing, accounting, monthly reporting through the statutory and tax cycle.
