    Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

    Job Description

    he Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist reports the Receivables Team Lead and is responsible for maximizing cash collections by enforcing payment terms and collecting past due monies. Senior Specialist will adhere to established policies, procedures, and approval authorities to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements to minimize loss to Motorola. In addition, the Specialist will be responsible for maintaining working relationship with Motorola customers and recognizing risks associated with managed accounts in a proactive manner.

    Specifically Senior Specialist: 

    • Monitoring the activity of accounts portfolio and contacting customers regarding due/ late payments
    • Determining the appropriate method of payments collection against delinquent accounts and resolving customers disputes pertaining to billing and collection
    • Assisting credit analysts in setting credit limits
    • Assisting in write offs, legal claims and monitoring bankruptcy proceedings 
    • Daily cooperation with the business: reviewing past due accounts with upper management
    • Providing monthly forecast, and other standards and ad-hoc reports
    • Receivable project management and billing 
    • Cash application and account reconciliation
    • Organizing calls with Project Managers and Controllers on critical accounts/ projects
    • Coaching/ helping other team members in their daily activities
    • Monthly reporting
    • Follow up on relevant queries and solving escalations in close cooperation with TL and business

    Basic Requirements

    • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Economy / Finance /Accounting
    • Min 3 years of finance experience 
    • Willingness to work US hours (2nd shift)
    • Demonstrated ability to support team efforts as a team member
    • Ability to develop professional expertise
    • Ability to enforce payment terms & collect money from customers
    • Make decisions using sound judgment and consult when appropriate
    • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multi task & prioritize
    • Excellent English 
    • Proficient in MS Excel with basic knowledge in other MS applications
    • Knowledge in Oracle a plus
