Support of Adaptive Workday Planning solution
Responsible for the integrity of financial data maintained within the Adaptive Workday Planning solution through interface maintenance & validation
Execute system supported data reconciliations for inbound and outbound interfaces of Adaptive Workday Planning
Maintenance of data and metadata loaders (includes development and testing) and update of load schedules
Coordination with Alcon IT departments in case of interface enhancements or technical issues
Responsible for managing planning administrative activities in close collaboration with BPA Planning Managers
Maintenance and upkeep of any metadata (Master Data) information such as accounts, hierarchies, entities, performance markets, exchange rates
Configuration of data collection templates based on existing metadata
Maintenance of planning scenarios, opening/closure of planning scenarios/periods upon request, execution of back-ups and copies
Execution of currency conversion scenarios at various exchange rates such as Target rates
Provide end-user support to approximately 200 end-users in case of technical issues
Support the design and upkeep of user access management solution and ensure access rights get assigned successfully and confidential data is restricted sufficiently
Support the Financial Planning Systems group in managing other owned planning applications as needed – examples are:
Supporting ad-hoc currency conversions
Answer planning related questions from end-users during European time zone
University Degree ideally in accounting, finance, economics or management information systems
Relevant work experience of 2 – 4 years with exposure to planning systems and processes
Previous experience of working within FRA (Financial Reporting and Accounting) / BPA (Business Planning and Analysis) / Master Data would help to become successful on this role
Finance systems experience and willingness to learn. IT “acumen” is desired.

Fluency in English

The Finance Planning Systems group is responsible to drive Alcon’s reporting strategy in close alignment with Global FRA (Financial Reporting and Accounting) / BPA (Business Planning and Analysis) teams, ensuring delivery of best-in-class financial systems and solutions to Alcon Management, allowing efficient analysis of the business performance. The Finance Planning Systems group manages Global Financial data for Alcon and is responsible for the data collection for monthly estimates and annual budget.
The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning Systems will support Alcon global functions such as HR, R&D or MTO with their respective planning in newly being implemented Adaptive Workday planning solution. Will be responsible for the roll-out, maintenance and enhancement of the Adaptive Workday planning solution for in scope functions. This includes but is not limited to maintaining financial data and metadata integration loaders, executing related tasks and upkeep of load schedules in the system as well as managing planning administrative activities such as maintaining planning templates, open/closing/back-up of planning scenarios, running currency conversion scenarios at various exchange rates and end-user support in case of technical issues. This position requires close collaboration with both business stakeholders and Alcon IT departments.
Further responsibilities include the support of the Financial Planning Systems group in the maintenance and enhancement of other owned planning applications (SAP BPC) as needed.
