Your responsibilities

  • Senior Analyst Reporting (Financial Accounting) will support Project Belle Reporting Lead (Financial Accounting) for implementing Held for sale and discontinued operations reporting for HBCE and SFH and embed these changes in BAU reporting.

  • This team is set up for implementation phase, first applications for September 2022 and December 2022 reporting and transition to BAU team who is expected to take over independently for March 2023 closing. The role will be located in Poland where most of the Saracen production team for HBCE branches are supporting from.

  • This role offers the unique opportunity to participate to Group strategic transformation, developing knowledge on M&A transaction while also providing an optimal platform to an ambitious and talented individual to develop and demonstrate technical capabilities positioning them for onward roles on other Transformation project or Reporting lead.

Our requirements

  • Senior financial services professional, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, etc.), with strong technical accounting and reporting skills.

  • Experience in designing, implementing and running reporting processes

  • Experience facing off to Senior Stakeholders (CAO, CFO, External and Internal Auditors)

  • Experience of a range of businesses and operational processes across the breadth of the financial services market.

  • Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. financial, regulatory reporting experience required.

  • Skilled in handing and controlling operational data and complex data sets (MS Excel).

  • Strong ability to anticipate, identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls over Reporting processes.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and experience of translating data into meaningful analysis.

  • Experience with accounting control design, SOX control framework set up

  • Familiarity with Saracen, FTP and other financial systems is desirable but not essential.

  • Ability to identify and implement change and challenge the status quo.

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners across functions (Accounting, Regulatory, MI, Change, Risk)

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Mindset of continuous improvement and aiming for excellence

  • Ability to evolve in a challenging and changing environment

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, etc.)

  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • French language skills advantageous though not essential
