Senior Analytics & Reporting Specialist

Key responsibilities:

 Data Management

  • Adopt and comply with P&O Data Model & Governance framework and requirements
  • Understand and consistently adhere to the P&O Data Principles (in terms of data maintenance, storage, access & use)
  • Effectively leverage standard data stewardship tools to efficiently support day-to-day operations
  • Support and partner with Global Reporting Manager in designing, building and executing our future P&O Data Model by leveraging its strong expertise in reporting and critical thinking about how P&O Data supports our core business processes and delivery of our Enterprise People Strategy

Data Reporting

  • Consult and guide stakeholders served on the purpose of their more complex reporting requests, identify key business data requirements from requests and the most applicable types/ format of information presentation
  • Provide a key support to the Global Reporting Manager in building a high-quality Service Catalogue for reporting and dashboards that will serve all businesses globally
  • Proactively Identify potential data issues (e.g. data quality or data privacy) and propose appropriate solutions
  • Build a strong business network by proactively connecting with different stakeholders 
  • Develop and drive best practices and standards for the report delivery process: from end-user consultation and documenting business requirements to sharing report results and collecting feedback of stakeholders served
  • Drive recommendations and influence stakeholders to select and use the most efficient reporting tools and solutions to maximize the automation, self-service and regular delivery of standard reports, KPIs and dashboards
  • Leverage and drive application of internal and external best practices, policies and procedures to support business reporting requirements aligned with P&O Data Model & Governance

Data Analytics & Insights

 

  • Consistently turn analysis into insights and develop a story behind the data that demonstrates the impact on business
  • Provide consultation to stakeholders served at all phases of the process and identify the right data & methodology needed given the business challenge/ request
  • Consistently and actively use a data-based decision-making approach balanced with independent judgment.
  • Build data models and trend analysis, connecting different data sources, leveraging basic descriptive statistics
  • Work closely with Workforce Analytics team in solving more complex hypothesis identified through reporting

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent, preferably in HR, Management Systems
  • Successful and confirmed experience in Data, Reporting and Analytics
  • Advance knowledge in Excel, PowerBI and other standard reporting and visualisation tools
  • Strong experience using daily an HCM/ Success Factor and/ or equivalent
  • Confirmed first experience of project/ service and/ or process management
  • Successful experience in producing and using HR metrics/reporting and workforce planning, combining different sources of data
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with the ability to collect, organize, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible in dealing with changing business requirements
  • Ability to coordinate between and effectively communicate with cross-functional departments to get work done
  • Ability to analyse and present insight to leaders
