Senior Associate, Global Procurement Site Support Russia & Poland

We are currently looking for a Senior Associate, Global Procurement Site Support to join our Procurement Team in Warsaw.

This role will seek to support the GP Market Leads in providing “service excellence” to business partners through establishing effective relationships, partnerships, and alignment of procurement outcomes to market specific priorities. This role will advise and support the Market Lead and cross-functional teams regarding the application and integration of procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and purchasing to ensure that all projects deliver maximum value for the business. It is necessary for this individual to understand the product lifecycle process, impact on the organization (both short and long term) and have knowledge of the global value chain to provide strategic industry insights and identify potential opportunities that ultimately lead to a BMS competitive advantage.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Assist GP Market Leads in development of market/local-specific strategies that maximize corporate, business, and functional priorities and objectives

2.  Ensure excellence in delivery of procurement initiatives that take advantage of cross-functional business synergies
  • Ensure planned cost savings in market based on category management strategies and compliance plans
  • Ensure key agreements and contracts are facilitated and reviewed to protect and advance the company’s interest
  • Advise and support cross-functional teams regarding the application and integration of procurement activities including sourcing, RFP/ RFI process, negotiation, contracting, and purchasing to ensure that all projects deliver maximum value for the business
3. Manage business partner relationships with market (regional / local) leaders and functional business partners
  • Develop collaborative relationships with business partners in order to leverage knowledge, spend and procurement effectiveness
4. Drive and ensure collaborative relationships with suppliers, in order to leverage knowledge, spend and procurement effectiveness
  • Oversee the rationalization and selection of suppliers that meet market / local requirements at the optimal total cost
5. Continuously improve procurement capabilities at the market/local level
Minimum Requirements:
  • Verbal and written fluency in Polish & Russian & English (essential)
  • B.S./B.A. Educational Background
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of business experience or related experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of multi-disciplined procurement experience or related experience (preferably indirect procurement)
  • Minimum of 1 year Pharmaceutical Procurement experience or related experience (preferred)
  • Experience participating on cross-functional and/or global teams
  • Internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills
  • Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experienc
Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S./M.B.A.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM)
  • 2 years Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
  • Membership in Professional Associations, e.g. ISM
