Your responsibilities
- Provide support, expertise and consultancy to Head of P&G & Global Head of Data Platforms
- Financial & commercial activities including:
- Financial AOP Planning (zero-based budget) and ongoing updates
- Financial Tracking: review and analysis of Actuals vs Forecast position, review of Accruals
- Driving the Unit Rate Setting Process for Data Platforms
- Global contracts and associated recoveries
- Billing and Recharge Accuracy
- Business Case Reviews
- RTB/CTB Tracking
- Billable product ownership
- Interface with relevant ES regional teams, ITID Project & Portfolio Management, IT
- Finance, ITID COO & IT Cost Management teams in order to understand, manage, analyse, progress and report on domain business performance accountabilities.
- Build strong relationships with ITID COO and ITID Planning and Governance teams, using own expertise & experience, adopting a joined up approach, to execute change at pace and with minimum conflict.
- Coordinate and deliver effective MI to support decision making at key stakeholder meetings and functional executive committee meetings.
- Contribute to a high performance culture through close team collaboration and adoption of collective responsibility.
- Use professional knowledge to identify and champion new, innovative or improved best practice.
Our requirements
- Excellent understanding of one or more of the following:
- IT financial planning and cost management policy, processes and tools
- Shared services, unit rate setting, billing and cost recovery concepts
- IT headcount management
- Understanding of domain and ITID global operating model
- Excellent numeracy and Microsoft Excel skills.
- An ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
- PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Degree in Business/ Financial Studies or commensurate industry experience.
- Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills; equal focus on verbal and written communications
- Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
- Excellent analytical skills to understand and use metrics to draw conclusions

Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for Data Platforms to join HSBC Technology.
The primary objective of the Senior Business Analyst role is to support the Head of Planning & Governance (P&G Head), in delivering excellent Business Management support to the domain function on a global level. This will involve direct liaison with the Global Head of domain, Head of Business Management for Enterprise Services, ES lead within ITID Project & Portfolio Management, and ITID COO. The role involves a mix of strategic and BAU activities.
