INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE

Our strategy requires rapid development of a third-party ecosystem to differentiate vs. competitors who surpass our scale and scope. As a result, we face an expanding set of third-party risks driven by new types of third parties (e.g., alliance partners, external client advisers), new uses of third parties (in client work and for Bain), and increasing volumes of third-party relationship originations and usage.

To support the rapid scaling of our third-party ecosystem, we are building a central Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) team within our Global Risk Function. This team will be responsible for developing and deploying TPRM capabilities required to align the firm’s third-party risk appetite and exposure.

The Business Process Implementation Sr. Analyst Third-party Risk Management, will support implementation and maintenance of Bain’s enhanced TPRM capability, as part of Bain’s Global Risk Function.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Senior Business Process Analyst, Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), will support the build of Bain’s enhanced TPRM capability, as part of Bain’s Global Risk Function.

The role will accomplish three major objectives:

1. Support the implementation and configuration of Bain’s risk-related IT system(s) by building workflows enabling the TPRM framework in a bespoke, user-friendly way.

2. Regularly collect feedback from stakeholders to maintain, iterate, and improve the efficiency and reliability of risk-related frameworks, whilst enhancing its capability as Bain’s ecosystem grows.

3. Support the iteration of frameworks and tools, such as TP tiered assessments and KPI tracking, by building / coding workflows and dashboards into the tool.

While global in scale, the role is based in Warsaw. Note that the majority of the TPRM team will be based in Warsaw, at Bain’s existing capability center. Regional and global travel will be required for coordination purposes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Liaise closely with Bain’s IT function during implementation of Bain’s risk-related IT system(s), configuring key workflows to build the TPRM framework and enable preliminary execution of TPRM (e.g., tiered risk assessments, mitigation tracking)

· Implement detailed design, including stakeholder feedback loops; continuously improve via feedback and experience

· Collect user feedback from relevant stakeholders across the third-party process (e.g., ecosystem teams, TP relationship owners, support functions such as IT) to understand the experience of frontline users

· Liaise closely with internal IT functions to refine business process design (e.g., tiered assessments, workflows) on the IT system to enhance its capability and capacity as Bain’s third-party ecosystem grows and user feedback is collected

· Support deployment of firm wide TPRM training programs (e.g., how to use IT system) to build awareness of ecosystem and frontline teams around TPRM and implement TP-related activities

· Coordinate with overall risk management and other relevant support functions (e.g., Legal, InfoSec) to onboard key stakeholders onto the IT system

· Coordinate with TPRM and Global Risk functions to support iteration of holistic frameworks and tools that encompass multiple teams, such as mitigation and KPI tracking.
