    Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure and Office 365 Remote based

    The client you will be working for is a well-established Financial Services (Insurance) organization with the headquarters in the City of London. EUC have been involved with the delivery of the client’s IT strategy since mid-2017 and now require a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to join our team and assist with the hands-on delivery of the 2018 Cloud Roadmap including Microsoft Azure and Office 365.

    After the initial 1-2 weeks of onboarding at the client’s headquarters, you will be able to work almost 100% remotely. There may be a requirement for you to fly to London once every few weeks for a mission critical meeting or as otherwise required by the project. 

    Responsibilities

    • Working alongside two Azure Architects (based onsite) on the delivery of the 2018-2019 Cloud Roadmap involving Azure Infrastructure and Office 365 rollout.
    • Ownership of one or more project deliverables and their successful delivery to the expected quality standards and timeframes.
    • Liaison with the internal teams including Information Security to ensure the work delivered complies with the FSA regulations, company standards and procedures.
    • Provide technical guidance on established Azure best practices and document recommendations for the respective technology areas, where necessary
    • Document and report project issues / concerns / blockers on a regular basis to project lead.

    Profile / Skills Required

    A highly motivated professional who can hit the ground running and achieve great outcomes working remotely.

    • A very good command of English (written and spoken)
    • Ideally Microsoft Certified (MCSA / MCSE Cloud)
    • At least 12-18 months hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including:

     Essential

    • IaaS, PaaS
    • Azure SQL
    • Azure SQL authentication
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Azure Networking / Routing
    • Azure vNets, Backup and Monitoring (OMS)
    • RBAC
    • Resource Groups and Policies
    • Identity & Access Management
    • Conditional Access
    • Desired State Configuration

    Good to have

    • Good understanding of Office 365, including user and data migration strategies and configuration of:
      • Exchange Online
      • Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online etc
      • Azure Information Protection (AIP)
      • InTune
      • Barracuda
