Your responsibilities

  • Import Classification – classification of products from Amazon catalogue (manual and automated) by assigning correct codes to ensure the right amount of duty to be paid by Amazon.

  • Export Operations – reviewing of the export restrictions of a country or economic bloc, to ensure that Amazon complies with International Trade Regulations and Customs.

  • Import Operations – cooperation with Customs Broker, Global Logistics, Vendors as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless EU imports customs clearance process together with identification of short and long-term compliance and efficiency enhancements to eliminate regulatory misses.

  • To classify products to ensure compliance with International trade and customs regulations.

  • To ensure that the imported products have been classified with correct trade codes, within deadline and in compliance with legal requirements.

  • To proactively monitor of EU import shipments (both Freight and Express Small Parcel) together with checking up and identifying efficiency and regulatory trends affecting EU import operations.

  • To be in direct contact with internal and external stakeholders, business partners and customers.

  • To devise and implement new ideas, tools, improvements and automations.

Our requirements

  • Strong attention to detail & ability to focus for a longer time on the same task.

  • Ability to make data driven decisions under pressure of time.

  • Proactivity & ownership in delivering results.

  • Ability to analyze and identify patterns in large data sets.

  • Good knowledge and experience in internet navigation and research.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office.

  • For import operations: min. 1 year of logistics oriented relevant job experience.


  • Ability to embrace changes with flexibility.

  • Decision making aptitudes based on given guidelines and in ambiguous contexts

  • MS Excel proficiency.

  • Knowledge of consumer product compliance processes and regulations.

  • For import operations: min. 2 years of experience in Trade Compliance, Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Logistics, Service Desk or Key Account Execution areas.

All stages of the recruitment process for this position are virtual and can be completed from home, as well as all onboarding and training activities. The entire Compliance Operations team are currently working from home due to COVID-19.
