Acting as the European Compliance subject matter expert and provide support to the internal and external customers by providing operational and trade compliance expertise.
Organizing and carrying out the internal and external Compliance assessments for various operational and Compliance areas, including risk-based approach and AEO - Authorized Economics Operator.
Providing ad-hoc support in the company's operations department
Reporting the assessments results and providing recommendations for improvement.
Driving compliance risk assessment of customs processes and providing guidance to operations team that helps identifying risks.
Leading, participation and performing projects within compliance matters.
Researching and responding to straight-forward operations and governmental requests.
Providing Customs and international trade related trainings.
Technical and legal research - analyzing impact of new or changing European Union, British and national tax, excise tax, import and export regulations, such as: customs rules & regulations, trade documentation, including but not limited to Customs Tariff of the European Union/UK, Rules of origin and export & import restrictions.
A minimum of 2+ years relevant work experience with Customs/Trade/Auditing or related field.
Strong analytical skills and in-depth detailed knowledge of the National and EU tax, excise tax, import, export and transit regulations (under Customs and other governmental agencies, etc.).
Competency in auditing the Company and customers against EU and International Trade requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interface skills with company internal departments, external clients and Customs Authorities, e.g. applications, process documentation, audit reports, management presentations, etc.
Ability to cooperate with other company departments and customers team.
Ability to work independently, make decisions and recommendations within authorized limitations.
Ability to provide mentoring, coaching and training.
Very good skills with Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Passionate about working in an international, fast-pace environment.
Flexible approach to work.
Fluent English - oral and written.
