Your responsibilities
Works closely with Financial Crime Prevention area experts, data and analytics staff on a variety of Financial Crime Prevention initiatives working according to Agile / Safe principles
Support business and teams with ad-hoc requests and analysis
Support in shaping hypothesis and assess feasibility of the analytics usecase
Performs analysis on datasets to extract meaningful insights that will drive Financial Crime Prevention decisions
Communicate insights and reccomendations to non-techncial audiences, through visualisations and data story telling
Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and Financial Crime Prevention domain leads to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and support in developing policies for data governance
Designing and maintaining data systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data-related problems
Mining data from primary and secondary sources, hypothesis testing and insights documentation, reorganizing data in a consumable format
Creating appropriate documentation that allows stakeholders to understand the steps of the data analysis process and duplicate or replicate the analysis if necessary
Our requirements
Several years of experience working as a data analyst preferably within financial crime prevention
Good programming skills in Python, complex SQL queries to analyse data
Mathematical and statistical skills are valuable to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze data
Experience using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts
Experience with data visualization using Tableau or Qlik
Fluency in English
MSc or PhD degree in quantitative topics such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or quantitative finance/economics
