About the project

As senior data engineer you are responsible for letting the data flow! This means supporting architecture, general design, and the development of various data layers for the Bosch-wide strategic purchasing analytics solution.

Your responsibilities

  • You will analyze, define, and implement the overall technical blueprint for data flows and data models within our central purchasing data warehouse

  • You will support standardization and automation by following best-practices or common development standards.

  • You will support software development quality and speed by sticking to DevOps principals, using continuous integration and delivery, as well as unit tests and automized test plans.

  • You will keep the software pieces together, by recurringly reviewing, maintaining, and refactoring various components and implementations

  • You will collaborate and technically lead our international data engineering team and with our solution architects, business architects, and enterprise architects to support company-wide consistency

  • We are looking for a senior software developer or senior data engineer with a can-do mindset, that is intrinsically motivated, loves software engineering, data, and tech, as well as challenges the status quo, to ultimately bring things forward!

Our requirements

  • 3 years of experience in database development and basic administration. E.g., Microsoft SQL Server (preferred) PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle

  • 3 years of experience in ETL/ELT development. Especially within Microsoft Stack (SSIS, ADF or plain T-SQL)

  • 2 years of experience in distributed, agile software development. E.g., Git

  • 2 years of experience with code refactoring and query troubleshooting and optimization (e.g., isolating code blocks, root cause determination, and developing remediation actions).

  • 2 years of experience in working with OLAP cubes and analytical models. E.g., SSAS/Power BI Tabular Model

  • 1 year of experience with data analytics languages like DAX (preferred), R, Scala, Python

  • English C1 level

  • Experience with webservices and interchange interfaces. E.g., WSDL and REST
