Your responsibilities
Our team is at the heart of Velux located in Poland/Denmark called Advanced Insights Accelerator (AIA), focused on developing data products that put the Global Velux customer at the center. We are a highly skilled, multinational and multicultural team of data engineers, analysts and scientists. We are looking for a solution-oriented, customer-focused data engineer, used to working in an agile environment, who wants to be a part of building something new from the ground up within a diverse and inclusive team.
To succeed in this role, you need to be curious and motivated, with the ability to approach problems in a creative manner. Ideally, you have a high personal sense of responsibility to get the job done on time without compromising on the quality of your deliverables. Technical education at BA or MA and solid experience from a similar role are important for us.
Our requirements
have 3 to 5+ years of experience in data engineering with CICD experience via Azure DevOps/GIT or strong interest in building pipelines infrastructure for Data Science Products
Technical education at BA or MA level (science, engineering, mathematics)
are a team-player and have great communication skills
can work with external vendors and are creative with can-do attitude
have experience with a scheduling system (Airflow, Prefect, Apache Kafka, etc.)
have skills in programming languages such as Python, SQL
are used to integration of data from multiple sources, building data pipelines and documenting and cataloguing data
hands-on experience in complex time-series data in manufacturing, high-tech or marketing business
have experience in developing data and cloud strategies, have understanding of distributed systems in any of the cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
have ability to work in a collaborative environment and coach other team members on coding practices, design principles, and implementation patterns that lead to high-quality maintainable solutions - translating complex ideas into understandable concepts
are used to Agile way of working
