Your responsibilities

  • Monitoring the implementation of local data management processes, aligned with HSBC (group) model

  • Setting up CDEs (Critical Data Elements) governance: identification, quality management (metrics, thresholds, controls), definition of roles and responsibilities

  • Exploration and documentation of data sources (lineage)

  • Identification of “trusted sources”

  • Monitoring Data Quality controls results, or, when required, driving their implementation

  • Managing a portfolio of data quality issues on a specific domain (driving root cause analysis, identifying resolveing, monitoring progress)

  • Supporting the Group CDO by collaborating with local Risk & Finance teams to understand and prioritize requirements, maintain alignment with the Group model (strategy, standards) while meeting compliance with regulatory requirements (i.e. BCBS239 or IFRS9)

  • Engaging and coordinating with data management teams from other functions and businesses, as well as Group teams

Our requirements

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements (BCBS239)

  • Knowledge of Risk and Finance functions in a financial institution addressing a wide range of customers and products

  • Knowledge of Data Management strategies

  • Knowledge of Data Management tools would be welcome

  • Good understanding of IT systems and data flows

  • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory framework exposure, environments driven by the quality of deliverables in tight schedules, complex organizations and multiple stakeholders with distinct expectations and requirements

  • Proficiency in French and English, ability to navigate in an international multi-cultural environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Analytical skills, attention to details, understanding/assessment of large volumes of information

  • Team spirit

  • Ability to bond and collaborate across functions and businesses (in particular with other Risk and Finance teams, businesses and IT)

Job Description

The Finance Systems Operations (FSO) team plays a pivotal role in the upkeep of applications used by Finance users across HSBC Group. The team provides various services like Access Management, Reference Data maintenance, Exception reporting, monitoring platforms / system performance and also acts as a second line of support in resolving issues raised by users and provides training to users when needed on applications supported.

The FSO team based in Krakow is also heavily involved into the Change The Bank initiatives – smaller scale projects and large scale programs which gives the opportunity to grow the skills and experience in both Business As Usual and Change type of the roles.

We are currently looking for Function: Risk Function & Finance Function Title: Senior Data Manager GCB 5 to strengthen the capability of the team in supporting and monitoring the data quality across HSBC Continental Europe.
