Your responsibilities
- Provide mechanical engineering designs and support for New Product Development (NPD), as required throughout the project ( i.e. concept development, specification, detail design with analysis, verification testing, cross-functional re-views, tooling production, commissioning)
- Blend design engineering principles, ergonomics, science and technology to build best value, robust and sustainable technical solutions
- Design for economic manufacturing based on mass customization principles, and for the highest of industrialization levels
- Ensure successful execution and completion of design outputs for a number of projects, meeting defined timescales, Capex, quality standards and commercial objectives
- Provide product documentation (bills of material, 2D/3D product drawings, other product specs and engineering change orders)
- Analyse test results, direct test methods and provide critical thinking while actively participating in defective product reviews
- Understand and communicate the design risk and assumptions associated with the project and support the Project Managers in managing these issues
- Continuously promote best engineering practices and good experience
- Understand the environmental issues, safety issues and circular design approach associated with the design
- Fully comply with the company procedures and systems
- Follow KPI targets
- Manage and maintain all necessary professional relationship both internal and external
- Make effective presentations to technical and nontechnical audiences
- Travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
Our requirements
- MSC Degree in Mechanical Engineering with robust work experience
- English min B2 and Polish
- Extensive experience working with office/soft seating furniture products
- High proficiency with mechanical Solidworks software (CSWP or CSWE certification is a plus)
- Good understanding of the manufacturing processes in the furniture industry
- Experience with FEM analysis and reports reading
- Experience to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Experience with Production Part Approval Process ( PPAP)
- Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMA) and Tolerance Stack analysis experience
