Your responsibilities
Help define requirements, contribute to definition of hardware designs, generate system solutions and models, define test plans and perform validation testing to confirm that system and functional requirements are met
Contribute to system level definitions and algorithm requirements to meet product performance and reliability requirements
Define and improve systems engineering standards and processes, contribute to industry technical papers and conferences
Development of simulation test methods and actual testing of vehicle power transmission systems.
Utilize problem solving skills to improve system performance and reliability of the EV system
Utilize FMEA process to enhance design robustness. Contribute to continued enhancement of architecture to support additional product features
Perform validation and verification test plans at a unit, sub-system and vehicle level to fully validate requirements. Analyze vehicle data from test and customer vehicles to investigate, identify, and resolve issues and performance complaints
Perform/support vehicle modeling and simulation activities to predict performance and impact due to hardware variability.
Support prototype and production OEM vehicle integration and development efforts
Conduct customer meetings to understand specific architecture, requirements and proper xEV transmission type for their specific application. Requires coordination with regional sales team
Our requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant technical field from a nationally accredited university
Minimum of 5+ years of automotive/commercial vehicle experience
Good analytical and problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical systems
Basic understanding of vehicle drivetrain/powertrain systems
Strong communication skills with ability to interface directly with external partners, suppliers, and both internal and external customers
Fluent English
Driving licence, category B
Optional
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
Master’s degree in relevant engineering field
Experience with SysML tools such as IBM Rhapsody
Experience with high voltage systems
Experience with electric motors / battery systems
MATLAB and Simulink experience
Vector tools experience (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe)
Experience in vehicle systems validation (Vehicle Tests or Bench Tests or XiL Tests (HIL, MIL, PIL, SIL)

Eaton’s eMobility segment is currently seeking a Senior eMobility Validation Engineer to join our team! This position will be based at our Tczew, Poland location and will be a part of a team developing eMobility systems solutions. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for working with their engineering manager to achieve the desired results. This will require individual contributions as well as contributions attained as part of a team. You will work closely with engineers located in various locations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
