Senior Finance Manager – Structured Finance Securitisations
Location: Kraków

The role is based in the Global Finance Centre in Krakow, Poland. The centre is supporting the development of the businesses across the European region. The centre covers all finance functions including Business Finance, Financial Control and Systems.

This role is to be the key member of the operational accounting Team specialized in the securitisations, special purpose vehicles and structured finance entities. Specifically the products are asset backed securities, various structured finance products and hedging if required. Will deal with accounting, ALCM and cash flows end to end along with related control activity, as well as financial and regulatory reporting disclosure requirements, financial packs to corporate service provider if required and audit.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Key member in delivering Operational Accounting responsibilities as well as key ALCM procedures and controls required
  • Perform and supervise the activities of the Team which is critical for business to meet their business objectives
  • Perform and supervise month-end closing process and consolidation activities
  • Perform and supervise Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Perform internal controls and review work prepared by the team
  • Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial and regulatory reporting process by compliance with the internal control requirements and assessing the adequacy in the changing environment
  • Continually work on improving the level of automation by working closely within and across teams to identify solutions to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting and minimize manual Intervention
  • Continually asses the operational risk inherent in the process, taking account of changing operational procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements
  • Working across departments to ensure provision of a consistent, joined- up view to the business
  • Supporting the company directors/management in the understanding and analysis of the financial data produced
  • Liaising with audit queries

Requirements:

Knowledge

  • University degree in finance related discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and IAS
  • Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be a plus
  • Knowledge of Banking regulations
  • Knowledge of Structured Finance and Securitisation entities
  • Understanding of GL systems and reporting software
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel (VBA/Python will be plus)

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years relevant accounting/reporting experience
  • People management of Finance Team will be a plus
  • Banking/Insurance/Financial Services/Structured Finance industry experience will be an asset
  • Project management experience

Skills

  • Fluency in English language
  • Excellent Team management & leadership skills
  • Strong analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
