Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery
Work to achieve high standards as benchmarked against other relevant global business service operations, by continually improve service levels and improve the controls environment: Organizational optimization; Standardization; End-to-end process improvement; Leveraging of technology
Lead and support Finance Operations related projects, including transitions, migrations and implementation of new system and tools
Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working
Identify and deliver service improvement activity across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
Elicit requirements and drive process change using staff interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions and workflow analysis
Support the roll-out and operation of a comprehensive Service Management Framework (SMF), including the development, implementation and maintenance of Service Partnership Agreements (SPAs) in GBS Finance
Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects
Work with other Finance Teams and business services departments to devise new support material based on the revised processes, to include training, reporting and systems enhancements
Provide strong operational leadership and motivation to Finance Operations Managers
At least 5 years of experience at managerial level within Finance / Accounting in a Global Shared Service Center, preferably with a US parent
Experienced with setting up Finance Processes (transitions)/process excellence (CI/efficiency) projects
Project Management experience will be a strong asset
Strong knowledge of Finance Processes; understanding of risks and controls addressing those risks
Experienced in people & change management as well as working in a multicultural, international environment, understanding of relevant regional accounting practices and the regulatory environment
Experienced in ERP systems (Oracle strongly preferred) both use and implementation; advanced skills with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship and consensus building skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization; effectively gains agreement and consensus for ideas
Outstanding work ethic with a high degree of confidentiality; highly organized and self-motivated, with an ability and willingness to work extensive hours as required
Strategic leadership skills, communicative, team orientated, with analytical thinking, patient, paying attention to the details, organized, training skills

About the role
The role of Senior Finance Operations Manager EMEA GBS will support all the finance functions in GBS Center in Poland in maintaining highly efficient and standardized processes by driving continuous improvement (CI) agenda as well as finance related projects (external and internal). The position will be reporting under the general finance function.
Senior Finance Operations Manager will be supporting Senior GBS Leadership in building and executing GBS strategy for Finance Operations processes. The role will be strongly focused on supporting multi year transformational project.
