Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst’s major responsibilities would include producing management reports for our Operating Committee and various Board of Directors, analyzing actual versus budget and period-over-period results, providing thorough and detailed variance analysis and commentary, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliations, and assisting on various ad-hoc tasks and projects.  This individual will be a liaison and primary point of contact for business leaders in our Market, Product, and/or Functional departments.

Working with us, you will be responsible for:

  • Reporting and analyzing the Income Statement, including revenues and expenses, and the Balance Sheet
  • Reporting and analyzing Headcount, including tracking headcount movement and the status of open positions
  • Overseeing Treasury related processes and reports
  • Monitoring, reviewing and analyzing expenses and allocations
  • Coordinating accruals and reclasses
  • Maintaining chart of accounts and management reporting distribution lists
  • Developing the quarterly and annual revenue and expense budgets
  • Producing management reports accurately and timely.
  • Producing, reviewing and analyzing Key Metrics and Dashboards
  • Analyzing actual versus budget and period-over-period results and provide thorough and robust variance analysis, commentary and talking points
  • Assisting with various ad-hoc tasks, initiatives and projects
  • Reviewing and improving existing processes with the goal being continuous improvement (e.g. performing root cause analysis and fixing issues at the source, eliminating or minimizing manual work and/or work-arounds, reengineering, automation, etc.)
  • Developing and maintaining process documentation, including SOPs, guidelines and checklists for all processes and reports
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting and analysis
  • Assisting with regulatory reviews/examinations
  • Assisting with internal/external audits
  • Assisting with Non Client Accounts monitoring, reviewing, and reporting

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have 3-5+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst
  • Have Accounting or/and Finance background
  • Are interested in financial data management and reporting
  • Proficiency of MS Excel desired
  • Possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Possess fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Have strong quantitative and analytical skills, with detail oriented approach to research
  • Solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures
  • Have very good organizational skills
  • Have ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Possess self-reliance and self-discipline at work        
  • Have Financial Services industry experience, specifically Asset Management experience would be a plus
