Your responsibilities

  • A financial controller is assigned 4-5 subsidiaries and are the sparring partners for those units.

  • The financial controller is responsible for controlling of the reporting from each unit, and in particular to ensure correct revenue recognition and to control and check the reporting for compliance and adheres to the IFRS standards and to the application of group accounting principles.

  • To create framework for internal trade and prepare the intercompany invoicing. Group reconcliation of internal trade and intercompany.

  • To control the internal tax reporting and to participate in the structuring of transfer pricing setup and support with the transfer pricing documentation.

  • To prepare and import data from Workday into the consolidation systems and perform checks and consolidations. Understand the importance of accurate book keeping and financial records. This leads to accurate reporting and meeting legal requirements.

  • To prepare consolidated financial information for the group auditors and work with the auditors to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.

  • To prepare the quarterly and annual reporting packages for external reporting.

  • Responsible for preparation of reporting to Danmarks Statistic and National Bank for Group compliance and for data for the insurance renewal.

  • To process approval of payments for SimCorp A/S and Nordic countries.

  • To maintain the architecture of the consolidation system including setup of new companies, creating and maintaining user profiles and departments structures. Creating and maintaining group eliminations setup.

  • To analyse needs and requirements for implementation and maintenance of the master structure in the accounting and consolidation systems and to implement new accounts as required for internal and external reporting.

  • To build input forms and reports for the collection and consolidation of data for use with the external quarterly and annual reporting.

  • Support and contribute to the enhancement of finance processes, policies and standards and support the alignment of these across all units. Recommend and monitor financial and accounting controls as required to secure compliance with statutory requirements.

Our requirements

  • A Master’s degree in finance or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years work experience within financial controlling and/or auditing

  • Experience with business and finance change/process optimization

  • Sound knowledge of IFRS application is needed. Implementation experience of IFRS is desirable.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, bridging IT, business and finance

  • Fluency in spoken and written English

  • Workday Finance and Adaptive implementation experience are desirable and are a big plus.

  • Experience in Navision and Performance Management system is desirable but not a requirement.

The position

Senior Financial Controllers are finance professionals who form part of the Global Finance team, working in the corporate finance function. The Senior Financial Controller is financially sound, and partners up with local finance and auditors. The main purpose of the role is to make timely and reliable controlling of the reporting of actual financial figures from the subsidiaries, as well as ensuring that internal trade and intercompany are correct and can be eliminated in the Group reporting. Furthermore, the role includes implementing key control procedures and processes to support the reporting according to IFRS. The role contributes to the external reporting through the development, implementation, controlling and support with the preparation of the data for the external reporting.
