Your responsibilities

As a founding member of our new ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) team within the Institutional Clients (IC) business area, you will provide valuable contribution to the effort of implementing the key ingredients of sustainable investments and in particular its measurement within our Business Area. Become a part of Asset Servicing that manages hundreds of funds of AuM of approximately 950 Billion CHF (domiciled in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Ireland), you will become an important part in rolling out ESG into significant part of our portfolio. Your impact will enable us as a unit to provide professional service towards our client, in line with expectations of both markets and their regulators.

* Become a member of the new ESG focused unit, designated for implementation within the offering of the CS Asset Servicing the ESG reporting in relation (but not limited to) SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure) Regulation.

* Be integrated in the development of the approach of Credit Suisse towards ESG, e.g. in terms of data management, dependencies and frameworks.

* Produce a key set of periodic reporting, procedures and controls to ensure the accuracy and validity of the ESG disclosure along the value chain of mutual funds.

* Contribute to the development of the CS Asset Servicing interdisciplinary ESG platform.

* Grow in the role of ESG Subject Matter Expert, being a key contact for various business partners within CS and external (e.g., ad-hoc analysis requests from fund sponsors).

* Facilitate the implementation of the new operational and strategic requirements and support future business growth (including the implementation of new ESG data feeds and reporting requirements).

Our requirements

  • At least Bachelor (Master would be an asset) degree / higher education in accounting, finance or applied mathematics and similar.

  • Developed skill-set and preferably proven and relevant experience in analysing financial data on an issuer level (e.g. key metrics related to equities, fixed income, derivatives and alternative investments) with market data sources such as MSCI and Bloomberg. CFA / CFA ESG would be preferred.

  • Overall, at least 3 years of proven experience in financial, investment fund industry.

  • Active interest in the topic of Sustainable Investments and application of ESG into investment vehicles would be expected. Experience in the field would be a strong asset.

  • Interest in understanding the regulatory requirements around investment fund industry and the topics related to risk managements would be appreciated.

  • Proven knowledge in MS programs (Excel, Access). Capabilities in End User Computing (SQL, VBA, R, Python) would be an additional asset.

  • Highly motivated and results oriented personality with proven ability to manage work under pressure and high level of attention to detail.

  • Strong team-player who can easily collaborate within the team and with different stakeholders.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English. Basic German skill would be an advantage.
