Your responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely management information to senior management and HSBC Group.
Support in investigating and communicating significant variances on a timely basis
Produce ad-hoc MI Analysis as required

Development of additional value added analysis and reporting
Produce analytical review of financial data, provide commentaries to ensure the results are fully understood
Review current activities and standardize processes to improve efficiencies
Participation in change management projects within finance, especially concerning system implementation and new MI reporting requirements

Our requirements
Qualified accountant or relevant university degree
In-depth knowledge of the banks systems/structures
Knowledge of operating bank systems
Accounting knowledge will be a plus
Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA)
At least 6 years of relevant experience.
A high level of financial expertise
Proven analytical skills
Very good knowledge of MS Office (in particular Excel and preferable VBA)
Excellent English both written and verbal (additional European language will be a plus)
Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate to communicate and build strong relationships with staff at all levels of the Group
Excellent interpersonal skills as the team will need to liaise effectively with other teams in other countries
Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgement
Change-oriented, good planning and organizational skills, with ability to adapt to changing situations and to grasp new issues quickly
Experience in leading and managing a professional finance team will be a huge asset
Knowledge and proven experience in project management

About the role
The job holder is responsible for delivery of management information, planning and forecasting activities as well as financial analysis globally and across business/functions.
