About the project
As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will have an opportunity to work on the latest solutions in the eCommerce area for our Client, who ranks among the top worldwide distributors of workplace supplies solutions to businesses – active in 42 countries on 4 continents with more than 1 mln customers. You will join the team creating the next-generation e-commerce platform that aims to provide a seamless end-to-end journey for customers. This e-commerce program will be piloted in France, Italy, and Sweden.
Your responsibilities
Participate in the implementation of technical and process innovations in frontend development, help in solving any emerging challenges and technical problems.
Working on topics related to implementation in the Next Generation frontend for e-commerce
Providing technical consultation on frontend-related topics
Taking part in code review to help improve the team’s knowledge and to suggest improvements
Acting as a mentor and guide on technical issues for junior developers
Investigating the latest technology and building quick Proof of Concept functionalities to address future business needs
Promoting the best-in-class development principles and quality standards – i.e. Clean
Code, BDD/TDD
Contributing to the Development Community of Practice to agree and endorse the development principles and best practices for the company development teams
Helping the organization structure complex engineering issues: technology, development methodologies, Continuous Improvement / Continuous Delivery
Our requirements
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent experience)
6 + of experience building large-scale software applications
Has a proven track of Next.JS implementation
4+ years proven track record in this senior FE role preferably in an international and multicultural environment working in classing and virtual teams
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript web development
Knowledge of architectural design patterns
Experience with writing automated tests (e.g. Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, AVA, tape)
Professional experience with modern JavaScript web frameworks (React, Angular, Ember
A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
Knowledge of software craftmanship principles (Clean Code, Clean coder, Clean architecture)
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery using continuous delivery
Toolings such as Jenkins/AzureDevOps and practical experience with Docker containerization
Understanding of performance, cross-browser / cross-device development, testing, optimization, and frontend performance requirements
Knowledge of UX and design sensibilities, wireframe tools like Abstract, Figma is a plus
Knowledge of tracking tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) is a plus
Fluency in English
