Sportradar is continuing to grow our Information Security Unit and therefore is searching for a Risk Manager. Working as part of our global Information Security Unit. Working as Risk Manager, you will be working with units across  Sportradar and reporting to our Security Governance Lead.

As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the security related risks. It is crucial to make the business and stakeholders aware of the security risks. You will understand the underlying impact of the risks on the business in order to take the relevant decisions in term of risk management. As a member of the Security Governance team, you will also be involved in the governance activities.


Risk manager will make sure the impacts of security issues are understood by the decisions makers. In this role, you will:

  • Be the central point of contact about the security risks
  • Improve the risk methodology
  • Perform risk assessments: Analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company
  • Provide assistance on identifying and analyzing security risks
  • Follow-up with the risk owners about the mitigation plan progress
  • Provide assistance on prioritizing the mitigation measures
  • Provide a risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience. (Educating the board of directors about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks)
  • Report to the Security Governance Lead about the risk mitigation status
  • Review suppliers, contracts, internal business proposals, or DPA
  • Create and maintain business continuity plans to limit risks
  • Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company


  • Security standards: you have a proven experienced with the ISO2700x and ISO 22301 standards
  • Analytical skills and an eye for detail: you can identify small issues that can have a real impact on the organization
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand broader business issues: you understand issues in a wide scope in order to help the company resolving structuring problems
  • Technical knowledge: you can discuss with technical people (developer, system administrators, tribes, etc)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) and a willingness to learn the local language
  • Good communication skills and ability to convince people
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Information Security) or a minimum of 3 years expertise related to cyber-security and/or risk management
  • Track record of promoting diversity and creating an inclusive working environment
  • Demonstrate experience and deep understanding of risk management
  • Understanding of the Security sphere and security threats
  • Familiarity with different global/regional/country regulatory environments and fiduciary requirements
  • Must demonstrate a deep understanding of technology and operations
  • Certifications like ISO 27005 Risk manager is considered as a plus
