About the project
Enterprise level application delivering full cycle Policy Administration with integrated billing for both direct and intermediated business.
Application created using Java, Spring and Hibernate as backend layer. RestApi and SinglePageApplication as consumers. In a process of migration from monolith to modularized environment.
Methodology: Agile
Structure: On site team including developers and testers, Multi-country functional teams including Product Owner, Scrum Master and Developers.
Hardware: Macbook Pro, 2 external 24 inch screens
Your responsibilities
Deliver new features (75%) and maintain existing ones (25%)
Deliver as a member of our mission team to build and develop our technology product
Support and oversee junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert
Develop clean, elegant, and reusable code that is well-tested and easy to maintain and extend
Take proactive part in code review
Work with stakeholders across the business to drive the direction of our engineering and put the long-term interests of customers at the heart of key decisions
Collaborate across our backend chapter to uphold standards and best practices, and to promote innovation
Working collaboratively with the team to resolve technical issues
Our requirements
At least 4 years of hands-oncommercial Java development experience
Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development
Strong analytical skills and a predisposition for innovative thinking
Decision-making approach and a goal-oriented attitude
Strong experience of Spring
Optional
An understanding of containers (Kubernetes / Docker / Podman)
Experience in RESTful API and MQ.
Experience of owning or leading the delivery a Java-based service / module empowering best practices like OOP, design patterns, clean code, automated tests.
Experience in SQL
Experience in insurence/banking/payments/fintech industry
