Your responsibilities
Build and maintain effective relationships across the global businesses and regional teams, understand key drivers and metrics, and effectively prioritize competing demands from a number of lines of business.
Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimise the likelihood of it occurring including its identification,
assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section 4 of the Group
Operations FIM.
Maintain and observe HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
Deputise for the Europe Head of Business Management as appropriate.
Collaborate with regional and local teams and drive integration where applicable.
Provide guidance and oversight of resources in the GCOO Centre of Excellence team.
Encourage collaboration and deliver clarity.
Our requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong relationship management capabilities.
Great analysis, design and problem-solving skills.
Ability to condense complex situations into simple terms and transport to various stakeholders.
Experience in governance and strategy, ideally with a consulting skillset.
Can-do attitude and ability to engage and motivate people.
Adaptability and flexibility – ability to deal with changing priorities / complex or changing requirements.
Experience in governance and report writing for senior executives, as well as, managing expectations of senior
stakeholders.
Able to navigate the organisation effectively and able to engage the teams across multiple geographies.

The Senior Lead - Business Management, COO Office – HSBC Bank Plc & Europe role is to ensure a consistent and effective approach for Finance Planning & Analysis, Strategy, Governance and Planning, servicing the wider DBS COO teams across Europe, including but not limited to Technology and Regional COO/CAO office.
Business Management, COO office team provides full administrative oversight and control within the Regional Europe COO remit, covering but not limited to Financial Management, Governance, People and Strategy. As HSBC Bank Plc and Europe undergoes a significant change agenda, the team’s responsibility is to ensure efficient and effective ways of working are in place to support the Regional COO.
The role will connect with the Global COO team and regional and country stakeholders (including Global Business and Global Functions) to ensure effective regional management and support for the HSBC Bank Plc and COO.
