As a Senior Lead Data Engineer, you're not just leading a team; you're spearheading transformative projects that set the direction for our company and our clients.
Strategic Leadership: Play a pivotal role in influencing business outcomes and decisions for our premium corporate clients by architecting and overseeing the delivery of advanced data solutions.
Hands-on Technical Depth: While you'll be in a leadership role, you're expected to be deeply involved in coding and technical implementations. Your hands-on expertise will be crucial in guiding the team and ensuring the highest quality in our solutions.

Your responsibilities
Client Collaboration: Work directly with corporate clients to understand their business challenges and needs, translating them into data-driven solutions.
Technical Design: Oversee the architecture and design of complex data infrastructure solutions, ensuring they not only meet but exceed client requirements. Dive into the code when necessary, setting the standard for technical excellence.
Project Oversight: Provide leadership and direction for data engineering projects, ensuring excellence in delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Innovation: Drive innovation by analyzing existing solutions and exploring cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to keep us ahead of the curve.
Technical Leadership: Lead by example, diving into code and critical technical decisions to ensure that best practices are not just followed but are evolved. It's crucial to remain actively engaged in code development and project execution.
Documentation & Governance: Ensure that all technical designs, processes, and client interactions are documented meticulously, setting standards for transparency and reproducibility.
Our requirements
Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to interface with business clients and understand their needs.
Proven Experience: At least 7 years of hands-on experience in architecting, coding, and leading complex solutions related to data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT development, and business intelligence.
Cloud Mastery: At least 3 years of hands-on experience with cloud services, with a strong preference for Azure.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python, with a strong foundation in SQL for data analysis.
Database Knowledge: Acquaintance with relational databases, with a preference for SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading teams, projects, and initiatives to success while staying actively involved in the technical details.
Analytical Abilities: Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the capacity to define, analyze, and document intricate business and technical requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with working in a corporate environment and understanding of corporate business processes.

Experience with Apache Spark or Databricks platform.
