The successful candidate is highly organized, must have the ability to communicate well and to manage multiple assignments and people simultaneously. They will have the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility.

They will possess the ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal guidance or supervision. They will be comfortable in finding solutions to make the best use of the technical tooling. They will be comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment, where change and ambiguity are present as we constantly grow, improve and innovate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and analyze reports of localization data, to identify patterns and derive insights through large volumes of data around volume, quality, cost, turnaround time and productivity
  • Define use cases for automation features, conduct testing
  • Create roadmaps, coordinate peers on specific goals, update leadership with regular reports
  • Maintain functionalities of cross-team processes, such as rules and algorithms to randomize quality checks
  • Manage and drive improvement of TER-based metrics
  • Manage and drive improvement of customer-facing quotation workflows
  • Develop customer-based project plans and workflows; manage time, budget, resources and quality control
  • Manage localization projects end-to-end, working closely with language specialists, internal business partners, external vendors and other departments
  • Set up projects in proprietary CAT tool, resolve CAT-tool related client and vendor issues and address knowledge gaps
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to terminology, language quality and workflow
  • Identify, communicate, and proactively mitigate project risks
  • Conduct post-mortem meetings and document project learnings
  • Write, edit, review and maintain localization process documents
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2.000 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, IT, computer science or equivalent domain
  • 3+ years of experience as a localization program manager, or proven equivalent experience
  • Experience in reporting tools like Tableau or QuickSight
  • Extensive command of Excel and VBA (all candidates invited for a phone interview will be tested on their knowledge of logical and lookup function)
  • Experience of program management or business analysis software
  • Successful record of working on large-scale business programs
  • Demonstrated experience with in-house or third party translation management and content management systems, including translation memory and terminology database management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and creating new processes, tools, and infrastructure
  • Strong problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to work on different projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and ask critical questions to understand customer needs
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with large databases of freelance translators, managing translation assignments, payments and data
  • Ability to create and maintain complex databases
  • Experience in at least one high-level programming language, such as Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with SQL and HTML
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma, Prince2 or PMP are appreciated
  • Knowledge of coding/scripting, regular expressions
  • Knowledge of CRM tools
  • Experience working with a global team
  • Fluency in one or more non-English languages
