About the project
As a Java Developer, you will be part of a cross-functional team that provides services in the Global Banking and Markets IT department. You will work on creating a new in-house, low-latency trading system which will provide the strategic order management functionality within the Cash Equities and Electronic space. You will work in a team of senior devs who largely design by democracy. This is an opportunity for the candidate to come in and add huge value in producing a system that will underpin all Cash, and Electronic trading functionality for the foreseeable future.
Your responsibilities
Building out the new low-latency trading system (Hawk)
DevOps and production supporting
Building a system/API connecting multiple trading components
Reviewing other developer’s contributions
Working on production support issues (via a rota), and being involved in improvements on automation, and dev ops
Our requirements
6+ years of experience with Low latency systems
Knowledge of Java
Knowledge of zero GC architectures
Very good knowledge of collections, their implementation, and their optimization
Exceptionally high code quality standards
Optional
Understanding of Cash Equities trading
Knowledge of Aeron
Knowledge of SBE
