About the project

Projects involve scaling up, deploying AI & Data solutions and creating the necessary data foundations to make the world a better and more efficient place.

You will join an energetic team of data scientists and other machine learning engineers working across disciplines from Computer Vision to working with patient Real World Evidence data and others.

The role is hands-on with coding (both infrastructure as code and solution code), solution orientated, able to analyze data, explore and try out new technologies and concepts. You can present your results and outline potential solutions for deployment to the business.

Your responsibilities

  • Drive and lead business and innovation projects in the areas of computer vision and medical imaging to design and implement AI & Data solutions, i.e., fit-for-purpose AI and data solutions which are embedded into digital products

  • Technically lead projects, other (junior) ML Engineers and Data Scientists applying an agile approach

  • Lead scaling up activities transforming data science prototypes to end to end solutions embedded in business processes by applying hands-on cloud engineering and leveraging skills across a large IT unit working with Business Domain Expert in their daily work.

  • Leads and implements data engineering, data modeling, and AI and data infrastructure tasks in a cloud native manner.

  • Leads and implements the deployment of machine learning (ML) / deep learning (DL) models and helps improve existing ML/DL models in production.

  • Design and Implement Cloud based Architectures ready to host ML models and pipelines.

  • Establish strong link with stakeholders in the business to help shape and execute the digital agenda strategy.

  • Create opportunities for digital product development by identifying pain points in the business to improve efficiency and decision making.

  • Collaborates with scientists and analysts performing business analysis and domain modeling.

  • Publish innovative methodologies, architectures and scientific discoveries in peer reviewed journals.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor with long term experience, Master with long term experience or PhD with several years of industry experience in machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics, or computer science, with strong knowledge of machine learning and cloud engineering

  • Strong track records leading & implementing the delivery of groundbreaking machine learning or data projects.

  • Basic level knowledge in statistical Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning, particularly in Computer Vision is a plus

  • Strong experience in Data Engineering (connecting to new data sources, storing the data in the Cloud, choose the right storage engine and transforming and cleaning the data)

  • Very good knowledge of Cloud native application architecture and being able to create ML solutions in the Cloud

  • Very good software engineering knowledge in Python, familiar with at least one Cloud framework (e.g., AWS, GCP or Azure) as well as proficiency with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

  • Strong business analyst skills and strong experience interacting with very diverse customers is required

  • Strong skills in presentation of results and outlining of solutions to the business

  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary and agile environment

  • Fluent in English both written and spoken
