Your responsibilities
- Ability to analyze and interpret business, operational & system procedures to carry out review and propose any enhancement changes required
- Financial and regulatory reporting to group as required
- Management information reported to managers and business areas
- Work on projects to automate and streamline financial processes
- Ad hoc tasks as delegated by the line manager and business area
- Gaining a thorough understanding of Fiscal Branch activities, in order to provide insight and guidance to business areas including Front Office, Tax and Product Control
- Ensuring effective communication channels are established and maintained through regular dialogue with stakeholders
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management and HSBC Group
- Appreciate and understand Group and local financial information requirements
- Prepare complex financial and business reports and analysis
- Responsible for developing reporting processes as necessary, as determined by changes implemented by HSBC Group Finance
- Produce analytical review of financial data, provide commentaries to ensure the results are fully understood
- Build and maintain good working relationships with other finance teams and business area representatives across a wide range of areas throughout the organization
- Provide support and guidance on finance related topics
- Review current activities and standardize processes to improve efficiencies
- Participation in change management projects within finance
- Support in investigating and communicating significant variances on a timely basis
- Ensure adequate controls and procedures are in place, monitor work quality, fulfil KPIs
- Complying with internal procedures and rules of control
Our requirements
- Qualified accountant or relevant university degree
- Knowledge of Banking regulations will be a plus
- Understanding of GL systems and reporting software
- At least 7 years of experience in Management Reporting, Financial Accounting, Reporting, Audit or Financial Control with excellent analytical skills
- Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be an asset
- In-depth knowledge of banks systems / structures
- Pro-active approach to process improvement
