    The Role

    This role is accountable for effectively liaising directly with the engagement Global Team Leader and providing leadership and oversight to two local Team Managers and to a team of 35-40 capable negotiators dedicated to supporting our global pharma client in the drafting, negotiation, management and execution of their procurement contracts. The Senior Team Manager will play an integral role in developing and managing the local team, which includes the coaching and supporting the two dedicated Team Managers, recruitment and selection of team members, onboarding/training, performance measurement and management, and client relationship development/management, developing knowledge level of dedicated team members.

    The Senior Team Manager will also be responsible for keeping the Global Team Leader apprised of all developments and issues impacting the local team, developing and implementing solutions and continuous improvement and working closely with the local Team Managers in Chicago to drive alignment in approach of the teams as well as ways to keep the team motivated and on track to provide exceptional service to the client.

    Our ideal candidate has the following skill sets and characteristics:


    Team Management

    • Experience in leading and managing a team to implement and follow a detailed process
    • Strong sense of accountability and ownership’ (for the local team, morale, service, quality, budget)
    • Ability to assign and oversee work streams through analysis of a team’s skill and experience
    • Proven experience in coaching and developing junior managers and managing expectations and growth of young talent’
    • Experience in workflow management, team performance metrics & reporting

    Client Relationship Development/Management

    • Proven track record in building strong, trust-based relationships with diverse client groups
    • Ability to interface with customers and members of large organizations
    • Business acumen and understanding of SOW & SLA frameworks that govern Client Service environment

    Drive for Continuous Improvement

    • Quick to identify and resolve issues in collaboration with client and team members
    • Possesses an appetite for innovation, driving efficiencies by developing improved processes, playbooks, templates, SOPs and more
    • Experience in change management during implementation of company-wide policies and procedures

    Collaborative Spirit

    • Ability to collaborate with Global Team Leader, local Team Managers in Chicago as well as Wroclaw Leadership Team
    • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of an organization (internally and externally) to provide excellent client service
    • Ability to work with Account Management to identify future potential revenue streams and growth areas

    Contract Drafting and Negotiation (preferred)

    • Solid experience (may be concurrent with leading a team) in drafting/negotiating and completing contractual documentation (preferably in procurement) within tight time deadlines
    • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
    • Experience in analyzing business needs of the Client while developing and implementing innovative, effective solutions & strategies for key negotiation points

    Essential requirements:

    • Fluent English
    • Experience in negotiation and/ or in the procurement space
    • Experience in Client facing, service related roles from a renowned outsourcing providers’
    • Ability to travel up to 20%
    • University degree
    • Legal background will be a strong asset
