Job description

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will participate in taking high level concepts and/or designs through to technically efficient code. You will play a key role in understanding and interpreting technical specifications, and turn them into working code, using a mix of technologies. Ideally, you will have solid experience in the full development life cycle, including requirements gathering, systems / business analysis and technical development.

You have

  • At least 6 years of experience working already in several projects holding strong software skills and ability to interpret requirements into working code
  • Experience of using a recognized development methodology and an understanding of the role of the developer in the full SDLC
  • Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of feature level design, development and testing of architecturally robust and scalable technical solution as well as ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to analyse existing systems for enhancement whilst identifying risks and change impact
  • Strong communication skills being highly self-motivated team player with ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Mentoring skills to support the development of the team members
  • Understanding of the secure systems design best practice that is required to follow company standards
  • Experience of modern development approaches, as well as curiosity towards cutting-edge technology

You will

  • Participate in regular Scrum Meetings, Daily Stand ups and other Scrum ceremonies
  • Cooperate closely with Scrum Master, Architect as well as Product Owner
  • Develop, test and implement code to the department and industry technical specifications and standards
  • Suggest alternatives where suggested paths of development can be improved upon
  • Create, document and implement test plans as well as monitor quality assurance control of project at various stages of the software development lifecycle. Re-estimate QA actions based on changing requirements or specifications
  • Work to plans/deadlines provided, define possible or live/on-going project issues and risks, anticipate software release problems and take appropriate actions to correct them or escalate them if needed
  • Ensure that IT and Business users are always aligned on the project aims and deliverables/objectives
  • Ensure that communication to the business is professional, clear and appropriate as well as build and maintain working relationships with key business users
  • Work closely with other systems teams to improve cross-team resolution of issues, where appropriate
  • Help team to make proper decisions from technical point of view
  • Act as a technical mentor for more junior colleagues and participate in evaluating their technical skills periodically
