Currently, we are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator. This role is to provide technical support for database environments and supports the full system life cycle. The person on this position provides DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness.
Currently, we are looking for a Senior Oracle Database Administrator. This role is to provide technical support for database environments and supports the full system life cycle. The person on this position provides DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness.
- As an Oracle Database Administrator, you will troubleshoot complex Oracle database systems versions from Oracle 11g to current, provide Oracle DBA support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams.
- This includes installing Oracle software, creating Oracle databases, performing upgrades of the database, starting up and shutting down the database, managing the database's storage structures, managing users and security, managing schema objects, making database backups and performing recovery when necessary, proactively monitoring the database's health and taking preventive or corrective action as required, monitoring and tuning performance.
- On this position, you will also participate in the automation of related tasks, Oracle DBAs creation of database-related scripts and programs to support development and production environments.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in administering of Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c)
- Good knowledge of Oracle DB architecture (including Multitenant)
- Experience with database optimization and SQL tuning
- Good knowledge of administrative tasks
- Good knowledge of RMAN Backup and Recovery
- Good knowledge and experience with the following Oracle products and technologies: RAC, ASM, Data Guard, CDB
- Good knowledge of administration of Linux/UNIX OS in terms of database management
- Programming in SQL, PL/SQL, BASH, etc.
- OEM Cloud Control
- DB Vault, TDE and other DB security aspects
- Oracle certificates OCA, OCP, OCM
