Your responsibilities

  • Ensure availability and inventory health for a defined category of goods, including:

  • Creating order proposals and initiating orders

  • Communication with suppliers to track the placed orders via order confirmations, etc.

  • Coordination and follow-up on issues related to incoming goods at zooplus AG's warehouse locations.

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory levels and taking necessary actions in case of potential unavailability.

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory levels and implementing measures in case of excess inventory or expiry risks (partially in collaboration with other departments).

  • Monitoring and improving relevant metrics and disposition parameters in the areas of inventory and delivery quality, such as delivery rate, lead time, delivery quality, safety stock, supplier sequencing, etc. (partially in collaboration with other departments).

  • Conducting analyses regarding supplier delivery quality and responsibility for supplier management in terms of their delivery quality.

  • Analyzing and evaluating optimal order cycles and other order parameters concerning suppliers, and providing recommendations to maximize logistics cost savings and supply chain efficiency.

  • Assuming cross-category departmental tasks, such as overall responsibility for the goods receipt notification of a fulfillment center or a procurement method, such as cross-docking.

  • Analysis and identification of optimization and development areas, followed by implementation in projects (including project management) involving relevant cross-functional departments.

  • Drive system improvements & further automation e.g. order placement system

  • Collaboration and/or project management in cross-departmental projects.

Our requirements

  • University degree with a focus on logistics/SCM, operational research, or industrial engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in dispatching and procurement of large assortments (>5000 SKUs), ideally in the retail/trade sector.

  • Proficient handling of dispatching tools and methodologies.

  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.

  • Strong IT skills, especially in MS Excel. Knowledge of ERP systems and SQL is desirable.

  • Analytical thinking ability.

  • Good basic mathematical knowledge.
