The Procurement team is moving beyond traditional sourcing goals to create value for the enterprise by improving profitability, increasing supplier collaboration, and supporting new solutions. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations within the enterprise.

The Indirect Procurement organization is responsible for sourcing all hardware, software, and services to support internal operations.

Job Description

  • Setting long term commercial strategic direction for assigned Indirect categories.
  • Influencing business and wider category stakeholders.
  • Using detailed analysis and understanding of the category to deliver value in cost, cash, quality and delivery.
  • Structure commercial negotiations, agreements, SLAs and total cost of ownership in ways that optimize expenditures, operating expenses, cash flow, and risks.
  • Defining governance around best practices and purchasing policies.
  • Optimizing a supply base to meet the changing requirements of the category.
  • Achieving targets for cost reductions and cash flow.
  • Developing strong relationships with senior leadership and suppliers.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on complex purchasing, technical, legal and contractual issues.
  • Defining governance around best practices and purchasing policies.
  • Implementing Category Strategies.
  • Performing supplier relationship and risk management reviews.
  • Responsible for reporting and forecasting category spend and savings.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or Engineering).
  • 3+ years of Procurement Category Management or relevant experience.
  • IT, Software or Technology experience.
  • Strong Business acumen.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, global business.
  • Experience in managing complex strategic sourcing and RFx projects.
  • Lead contract negotiations without much Legal guidance.
  • Ability to support large/complex supplier deals, potentially including hardware, software, and services.
  • Proven track record of identifying cost reduction opportunities and driving financial benefit to the business.
  • Ability to interact with and present up to Director/VP Levels.
  • Core data and analytic skills.
  • Financial modeling experience is an asset.
  • Supplier and customer oriented skills.
  • Minimal travel required.
  • Must be open to support occasional evening work hours in support of North American business partners and suppliers.
